Hand function is complex and requires careful assessment and diagnosis before surgery is considered. We can assess all hand problems and advise about the best management. We work in combined clinics with hand therapists and in close discussion with radiologists to get to the heart of the problem. We can then advise you about the best treatment options, whether surgical or non-surgical.

ACC funding
We can help you through the complexities of ACC funded surgery or can advise you and discuss with your insurer about cover for your surgery. We commonly work with ACC funded rehabilitation programs to get you back to work in a safe, graduated program.
Wide Awake Surgery
As the costs of surgery rise, we are exploring safe ways to limit the cost of surgery without compromising safety and outcome. Wide awake surgery with field sterility can be performed in our clinic. Careful local anaesthesia provides a comfortable and pain free setting for this surgery. We are Southern Cross Affiliated for Carpal Tunnel surgery in the clinic.
Hand Therapy
Hand therapy is a critical factor in getting you back to work. Investing time and effort in regaining mobility, protecting the surgery with splinting and controlling swelling, pain and scarring will return you to the best function as quickly as possible. We work closely with several groups of experienced hand therapists who can provide you with the necessary post-operative rehabilitation.
